I'm married now; I have two wives – Shatta Wale asserts

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has revealed that he is no longer single, disclosing that he is currently in a polygamous relationship with two women who are aware of each other and live under the same roof.

Speaking during a conversation on The Honest Bunch Podcast on July 27, 2026, the musician mentioned that he decided to embrace the arrangement after experiencing trust issues in his previous relationships.

When asked whether he was single, Shatta Wale responded that he is happily settled with two partners.

"No, I'm not single. I'm married and I have two wives now. I don't want to lie about it," he said.

According to the dancehall musician, his past experiences in monogamous relationships were unsuccessful because of a lack of trust, prompting him to choose a different path.

"I've been in single relationships that have not really helped me. Like the trust, they don't trust me," he explained.

Shatta Wale noted that his current partners have built their relationship on trust and mutual understanding.

He further stated that they both know each other and coexist peacefully.

"But the women I'm with right now, they trust me. They know each other and they live in the same house," he added.
