‘Armani was ready for marriage; I was not’ - Asantewaa

Ghanaian TikTok content creator and entrepreneur Asantewaa has clarified the circumstances surrounding her breakup with musician AMG Amarni, dismissing claims that he was unwilling to settle down or that she was heartbroken after the relationship ended.

Speaking in a video circulating on social media, Asantewaa said, contrary to public speculation, Amarni was the one who wanted to get married, but she was not ready to take that step.

According to her, reports suggesting that Amarni was unwilling to marry were inaccurate and need to be corrected.

“You were saying the guy was not ready to marry and settle down, but who told you I was ready to marry and settle down? Amarni wanted to get married, but I wasn’t ready for marriage,” she said.

Asantewaa further revealed that although Amarni loved her deeply, her feelings for him had changed, leading to the end of their relationship.

“He loves me a lot, but I don’t love him anymore. Make that small correction because you are mixing up the stories,” she stated.

She also maintained that despite their breakup, Amarni still holds her in high regard.

“He wants to see me so badly, and I will hit my chest and let you know that he will tell you that I am the best he has ever met,” she added.

Addressing claims that she had broken down in tears because Amarni left her, Asantewaa admitted that she cried but insisted her emotions had nothing to do with being abandoned by a man.

“Yes, I will cry because I am a human being, but I did not cry because a man left me. A man can’t leave me,” she said.

The entrepreneur went on to describe herself as a valuable person in any relationship, stating that she can never be considered a liability that someone would want to walk away from.

“I am a big asset. You can call that bragging or whatever, but I am not and can never be a liability that somebody would want to run away from,” she said.
