Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka and the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo
Lawyer for the Kristo Asafo Mission, Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka, has disclosed that an injunction has been granted to temporarily halt the funeral arrangements for the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
Speaking to the media after a court hearing on July 29, 2026, Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka said the court issued the order to allow legal issues surrounding the funeral to be addressed.
According to him, the injunction restrains former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with the funeral for the next 10 days.
"There are certain issues the court has to address in preparation for the funeral and burial of Apostle Kwadwo Safo. The court has granted an injunction and has prevented Hon. Adwoa Safo from going ahead with the funeral for a period of 10 days from now," he said.

He explained that the parties are expected to return to court after the 10-day period for further proceedings.
"After 10 days, we will come to court and proceed. As it stands now, Sarah Adwoa Safo can't go ahead with the funeral," Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka added.
The funeral, which had been scheduled for July 30 and 31, 2026, is now on hold following the court’s order.
