Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur and leading member of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Osebo the Zaraman, has cautioned mourners attending the final funeral rites of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka to be mindful of the water they are offered at the event.

Addressing mourners at the funeral grounds, Osebo demonstrated what he described as a simple way of checking whether a bottle of water is safe before drinking it.

According to him, mourners and sympathisers should first squeeze the bottle when they are served bottled water.

He explained that if the bottle compresses easily, they should discard it. However, if the bottle does not squeeze, they should wipe the mouth of the bottle with a clean handkerchief before drinking from it.

He stressed that his caution is necessary because, in his view, there could be dangerous people among the crowd, whom he described as “cobras.”

“If you’re given bottled water to drink, squeeze the bottle first. If it compresses easily, throw it away. If it doesn’t, clean the mouth of the bottle before drinking it, because there are some people who are cobras,” he said.

Meanwhile, the final funeral rites of the late founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, are currently underway at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region despite a 10-day interim injunction issued by the Accra High Court.

The court order, granted on July 29, 2026, temporarily restrains former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with the funeral arrangements until the determination of a legal dispute before the court.

The injunction followed a press conference by Adwoa Safo’s brother, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I, who declared the announced burial date “null and void” because of unresolved disagreements over the funeral arrangements.

He stated that a new burial date would be communicated after the dispute had been resolved.

Despite the court order, GhanaWeb reporters at Gomoa Mpota observed that preparations for the funeral had not been halted.

Friends, relatives, members of the Kristo Asafo Mission, and sympathisers continued to arrive at the venue in large numbers, with many travelling in chartered buses to pay their final respects to the renowned spiritual leader and inventor.
