Popular media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has ignited debate on social media after urging Ghanaians to seize any opportunity to relocate abroad legally for work.
In a post on X on July 30, 2026, she wrote: "If you get the chance to leave this country legally and work legally, take it. Don't look back."
The post quickly went viral, prompting mixed views on Ghana's economic situation and the prospects of building a better life abroad.
Some users agreed with Nana Aba, arguing that many young people are struggling with poor living conditions and limited opportunities.

"She's not wrong at all. Relying on 'hope' and 'it will get better' year after year while basic systems fail every single day gets exhausting," one posted.
"Best advice for any youth. These politicians do not care about you. Secure your future!!!" said another.
Others blamed Ghana's political leadership for the country's challenges.
"I think our leaders are taking us for granted. Some political appointees don't even have any idea of what their position or scope of work entails," one noted.
However, not everyone agreed with Nana Aba's advice.
One user argued that people with stable and well-paying jobs in Ghana had no reason to leave, writing, "If your job is good and pays you well, don't listen to this advice."
The post comes amid conversations about youth unemployment, economic opportunities, and migration, with many users debating whether Ghana's future still offers enough hope for young people seeking a better life.
