'I will charge $100K-$150K for movie roles after my next project' - Lil Win

Filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has disclosed that he intends to significantly increase his acting fees after the release of his upcoming movie, Journey to Africa.

According to him, he will charge $100,000 for a three-day movie role in Ghana and $150,000 for projects outside the country.

Speaking in a video shared by Gossip 24, the actor and producer explained that the decision is in line with the value he believes he brings to the film industry.

“After I complete Journey to Africa, a project in which I’m working with more than six well-established actors from Nigeria alongside about 40 local Ghanaian actors, I plan to charge $100,000 for a three-day movie role in Ghana. For projects outside Ghana, my fee will be $150,000,” he stated.

Lil Win stressed that money is not always his primary motivation when accepting acting roles.

According to him, he is more interested in projects that can elevate his career and create opportunities on the international stage.

He explained that if a script is compelling enough and has the potential to advance his career, he would be willing to take on the role without charging a fee.

However, he noted that he would demand his stated fee if he believes the production does not meet the standard of the films he has produced himself.

“I’m not necessarily in it for the money. I’m looking for roles that will take my career to the next level. If the script is powerful and I believe it will benefit my career, I may not even charge you. I’ll gladly do it for free. But if the quality of the project doesn’t match the standard of the films I’ve produced myself, then I’ll charge my fee,” he noted.

Lil Win further disclosed that his ambition is to break into Hollywood, saying every decision he is making at this stage of his career is geared towards achieving that dream.

He noted that while acting remains a key part of his journey, he also sees film production as another pathway to gaining international recognition and securing collaborations with global filmmakers.

“I want to work on projects that will elevate my career because my ultimate goal is to make it to Hollywood. That’s why I’m putting in all this effort. I also believe it’s not only acting that can take me to Hollywood. Producing can open that door as well. After my upcoming movie, I hope to attract an international producer who will collaborate with me, and together we can work with Hollywood actors,” he added.
