Nigerian singer Ruger has sparked conversation online after revealing that he would not be upset if another woman takes his girlfriend.
He said he would rather settle the situation through a discussion than react with anger.
Speaking in a recent interview while promoting his new single, She Don’t Like Men, the singer shared his unconventional take on relationships when asked how he would react if his partner left him for another woman.
“I won’t be pissed if a girl took my girlfriend,” Ruger said.
Surprised by his response, the interviewer argued that he should be upset, but the singer doubled down, saying he would instead “call a meeting” with both women.
“I’ll be like, ‘Both of you sit down here. I think we should have a discussion about this,’” he said.
When the interviewer pointed out that his girlfriend would already be someone else’s partner, Ruger maintained that it would not bother him.
“I don’t care… I’m not going to be pissed, honestly,” he added.
Asked what outcome he would hope for after the discussion, the singer jokingly replied, “More fun for us. We’ll be happy together.”
The remarks have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many fans debating whether Ruger was being serious or simply joking during the lighthearted interview while promoting his latest release.
