Cheating is never a deal breaker for me – Tiwa Savage

Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has opened up about her approach to infidelity and the reasons that have led her to walk away from past relationships.

Speaking during a discussion on a podcast, the award-winning singer revealed that cheating has never been a deal breaker for her in relationships.

According to Tiwa Savage, she has never ended a relationship because her partner cheated on her.

She also disclosed that she has never been the one to leave a relationship solely because of infidelity.

“I never cheated in my relationships and I never left anyone for cheating. I didn’t even leave; he still left me,” she said.

The singer explained that there have been other situations that could make her reconsider a relationship, particularly issues involving theft and drug use.

“I’ve never left anyone for that, but I’ve left for other reasons like maybe stealing, doing drugs and stuff,” she stated.

Tiwa Savage further disclosed that she has, on some occasions, walked away from relationships only to have her partners return to apologise.

She admitted that she sometimes accepted them back after their apologies.

However, she maintained that cheating was not among the reasons she considered serious enough to end a relationship.

“Some men stole men from me indirectly. I would leave, then they would come and apologise and I would take them back. But cheating wasn’t a deal breaker for me,” she added.

“A guy once cheated on me. I forgave him, but he still left me because I don’t see cheating as a reason to break up. I’ve never cheated on a guy, and I’ve never left a guy because he cheated.”
