Ghanaian-UK event promoter Alordia has stated that achieving a turnout of between 1,000 and 2,000 people at a London concert should be considered a major accomplishment rather than something to dismiss.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on August 25, 2026, Alordia assured Ghanaian artistes that they would receive support whenever they come to the UK.

“Sometimes I say if you do a show in London and you get even 1,000 or 2,000 people to show up, you have to be happy,” he said.

He congratulated Ghanaian artistes making efforts to establish themselves in the UK, while cautioning others against underestimating the challenges involved in organising shows in London.

“Congrats to them, and we’re there to support them anytime they step in; the door is open,” he shared.

According to him, successfully staging a concert in London requires careful planning, significant resources and the ability to attract an audience, making every successful turnout worth celebrating.

However, the event promoter stressed that artistes cannot simply wake up one day and decide to organise a concert in London without understanding the steps involved.

“If you don’t know the steps, you won’t get there and you can’t just wake up and say you’re going to do a show in London because it’s hard,” he stated.

Alordia explained that even securing a suitable venue can be difficult, while attracting a sizeable crowd presents another major challenge for event organisers.

“Even to book a venue alone is not easy and to get the crowd,” he noted.

He therefore urged artistes and industry players to appreciate the effort involved in putting together successful events in the UK.

He explained that having fans in different parts of the world does not automatically mean they will all attend an artiste’s event simply because a concert has been announced.

“It’s not like your fans are everywhere so they would just come and support,” Alordia added.
