Reggie Zippy is a UK-based Ghanaian musician
Ghanaian hiplife singer Reggie Zippy has joined the ongoing conversation surrounding the condition of his colleague, Barosky.
In a post shared on Instagram and sighted by GhanaWeb on August 27, 2026, Reggie Zippy strongly criticised netizens for attacking Barosky and calling him names after he was seen homeless and reportedly struggling with poor mental health.
Following reports about Barosky’s situation, some social media users described him as lazy and accused him of being influenced by drugs.

Reacting to the accusations, the UK-based Ghanaian musician lashed out at critics, insisting they had no idea what they were talking about.
According to Reggie Zippy, Barosky is not a lazy person as some people have claimed online, adding that anyone can find themselves in difficult circumstances. He described labelling him a drug addict as unfair.
“Those saying he’s into drugs and making all sorts of accusations should wipe your mouth on the floor or even in the gutters. I would have understood if you said the uncertainties of life have caused his downfall, but why would you call him lazy?” he said.

Reggie Zippy further noted that Barosky is still struggling to regularise his status in the United Kingdom.
“Up to date, he is still struggling to become a citizen, and that’s what he said in the interview: that his documents are still with the police.
“I really want to support him, but we are in a country where if they see him improving, that’s when people are going to start making a lot of assumptions. Some of you don’t want to help, yet you still want to talk. No one is interested in your talk; if you want to help, get in touch with him and help,” he added.
