Founder of International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has revealed that he gave his estranged wife, Florence Obinim, conditions he believed could save their marriage before she allegedly returned drinks to his family, a traditional step signalling her intention to end the union.

According to reports by Gossip24, Bishop Obinim asked members of Florence’s family to tell her that the only way their marriage could work was for her to disassociate herself from Prophet Ogyaba and publicly apologise on social media for what he described as tarnishing his image online.

“I made them aware that if Florence Obinim wants me to return home, she should disassociate herself from Ogyaba and also come on social media to apologise,” Obinim stated.

He said he later followed up personally by calling one of Florence’s relatives, only to be informed that she had refused to publicly apologise or stop associating with people he described as his “enemies”.

Bishop Obinim maintained that he was not prepared to forgive Florence if she failed to publicly apologise for bringing their marital issues onto social media.

“I made them aware that I am not going to forgive her if she doesn't apologise for bringing our marital issues on social media,” he noted.

It is reported that Florence had initiated a traditional divorce after more than two decades of marriage by returning drinks to Bishop Obinim’s family, a symbolic act in Ghanaian culture that can signify the end of a union.

The preacher maintained that the marriage could still have been saved if Florence had followed the steps he outlined, particularly by distancing herself from Prophet Ogyaba and issuing a public apology.
