'Our children wake up at night asking for you' – Oteele appeals to wife

Ghanaian actor and comedian Oteele has expressed pain over the impact of his wife's absence on their children following her decision to leave their home after a video involving an alleged cheating incident surfaced online.

In a video shared on social media on September 10, 2026, Oteele appealed to his wife to consider the emotional effect her absence was having on their four-year-old child.

According to him, the children, who are used to sleeping with their mother, often wake up in the middle of the night asking about her whereabouts.

“So, don’t you have empathy? Don’t you have kids? Our four-year-old child would wake up in the middle of the night and ask, ‘Where is their mother?’ just because they normally sleep together,” he said.

‘We are currently separated’ - Oteele’s wife discloses

Oteele revealed that he has been struggling to explain their mother's absence to the children and has had to make up stories to keep them from worrying.

“I’ve been lying to the children all this while. They asked me, ‘Did she go to buy things that she hasn’t returned?’ They asked if she travelled abroad, and I said yes,” he recounted.

He added that the children had even asked him to contact their mother through a video call so they could speak with her.

“They even told me to call her on video call so that they could talk to her. People are wicked and heartless,” Oteele added.
