Award-winning musician Black Sherif was met with an overwhelming show of love as hundreds of fans gathered at the University of Ghana’s Mensah Sarbah Hall on September 17, 2026, for his highly anticipated autograph signing and soirée, held to celebrate the release of his latest EP.
Despite the event being announced on short notice, fans travelled from Accra, Kumasi and Koforidua, filling the venue hours before the artiste’s arrival.
The atmosphere was electric as supporters eagerly awaited the opportunity to meet the musician they affectionately call Blacko.
When Black Sherif finally arrived, he spent time signing autographs, interacting with fans and posing for photographs, creating memorable moments with supporters who had come from different parts of the country to celebrate with him.

Speaking to GhanaWeb, one emotional fan explained that Black Sherif’s music has become a source of healing during difficult moments in her life.
“His music means a lot to me. I can’t put it into words. He has helped me, he has healed me with his lyrics. There’s a lot going on in my life right now and his music has healed me,” she said.
Another fan described the impact of Black Sherif’s latest project, stating that the Iron Boy EP had profoundly changed the way he thinks.
“Iron Boy is embedded in me. I can’t describe what Blacko’s music has done to me; he has liberated my subconsciousness,” the fan shared.
A third admirer revealed that beyond enjoying the music, he has drawn inspiration from Black Sherif’s personal growth, noting that every release reflects a new version of the artiste.
“Just as he keeps learning because every song he drops, you notice that he’s a different person from his previous song, so I make it a point to also follow in his footsteps and learn. He’s my hero, and I cannot function without him,” the fan said.
Another supporter, who said they never miss a Black Sherif event, explained that each experience offers a different kind of energy, making every appearance worth attending.
“I make it a point to attend every event of his because I just want to see him; I just want to have the experience. Every time there’s a new energy that comes when you go to every event, the energy keeps increasing differently. That is why I am there every time to experience every bit of it,” the fan added.
The evening ended on a high note as Black Sherif treated the crowd to live performances of songs from his new EP, capping off an intimate celebration that brought the artiste and his loyal fanbase even closer together.
