‘There’s no beef between Kyekyeku and me’- Dr Likee clarifies

Ghanaian comic actor Dr Likee, also known as Aka Ebenezer, has responded to ongoing claims that he is at loggerheads with fellow actor Kyekyeku.

In an interview shared on social media, Dr Likee noted that his reason for not shooting content with Kyekyeku is solely related to the demands of the work and has nothing to do with a personal issue.

According to Likee, he has several individuals on his team whom he is grooming.

Hence, once a member of the team becomes popular and well-received by fans, he ensures that the individual creates something for themselves.

Dr Likee also explained that another reason for not shooting content with Kyekyeku is to give fans an opportunity to miss the character.

He added that if Kyekyeku is always featured in their comic videos, fans could easily get used to seeing him, which could eventually affect their work.

“There are a lot of people here, and our problem is that if a person travels for a show and is going for the second time, he/she will be questioned. Meanwhile, probably that is what the audience wants and the numbers we want.

“There is no issue between the two of us, but it’s because we are doing what the viewers want. I can’t shoot with only Kyekyeku all the time because of what the viewers want,” he added.
