Nigerian musician Ruger has shared his idea of a romantic date, revealing that he prefers simple and private moments with his partner rather than extravagant outings.
Speaking in an interview with Capital XTRA, the “Bounce” hitmaker said spending quality time at home with his partner, watching movies, having conversations, and enjoying each other’s company are some of the ways he expresses affection.
When asked what a good date with his “queen” looks like, Ruger explained that his ideal moment involves staying indoors but occasionally stepping out for a change of scenery.

“For my queen, mostly sitting there at home but I go out sometimes,” he said.
Although the host questioned whether staying at home could be considered romantic, Ruger maintained that romance depends on finding someone who shares a similar lifestyle and understands your personality.
“Eh, it’s romantic. It depends; you have to find someone that is compatible with you,” he explained.
He further revealed that his time with his partner could involve watching movies, resting together, taking a drive, and simply talking about different things.
“Watching movies, going back to bed. Getting out of bed, taking a little drive,” Ruger added.
The singer also admitted that despite his public image, he is not someone who enjoys constantly being outside, as he values personal space and meaningful conversations with his partner.
“Me, I’m not really a party guy. I like my space. And I like whoever I’m with to just be in our own space and just be together and just talk about things, gossip,” he said.
Asked if he enjoys gossiping with his partner, Ruger humorously confirmed that sharing conversations and personal moments is part of his relationship dynamic.
“Oh, I have to gossip with my woman,” he stated.
