Ghanaian rapper Tic Tac has revealed that his reserved attitude towards women during his younger years led some people to speculate that he was gay.

According to the veteran musician, his lack of interest in women was largely influenced by his upbringing and sometimes became so strong that he would avoid intimate situations altogether.

Speaking during a discussion on Adom TV on September 27, 2026, Tic Tac disclosed that people would often tell him they believed he was gay because of how he interacted with women.

“I didn’t like women too much, so some people thought I was gay. People used to tell me that I’m gay, but it’s because of my upbringing,” he said.

He explained that there were occasions when he would be with a woman but suddenly lose interest in becoming intimate with her.

In such situations, he said he would find an excuse to avoid the encounter.

“If a woman should strip herself naked in front of me, I will run away. I can take a woman to my room and when it’s time to have fun, I would give an excuse that my stomach was paining me,” he shared.

Tic Tac stated that he would follow his instincts whenever he felt that he was no longer attracted to a woman, rather than force himself into an intimate situation.

“That’s because the feeling is no longer there. Something is telling me I can’t do anything with you, and I will follow it. I will be sweating profusely and you might think it’s pressure. I can even leave you inside and walk out,” he added.
