Adjoa Pee alleges Mr Beautiful ‘pocketed’ part of Mahama’s money for her medical bills

Veteran Ghanaian actress Helena Maame Adwoa Petreba Pieterson, popularly known as Adjoa Pee, has accused Kumawood actor Mr Beautiful of taking part of the money she claims President John Dramani Mahama sent through him to support her medical bills.

Speaking in an interview on Bra Emma Studios, aired on September 24, 2026, she explained that President Mahama had informed veteran creatives that if they needed any assistance, they should inform Mr Beautiful so he could bring it to his attention.

According to Adjoa Pee, the incident occurred about four years ago when she was hospitalised. She claims President Mahama gave Mr Beautiful GH¢2,000 in 2022 to support her hospital bills, but the Kumawood actor took part of the money to cover his transportation expenses, leaving the amount insufficient to settle the bill.

She said she was therefore forced to personally top up the money to pay her medical expenses.

“I was in the hospital when he called me and said he had informed the President about my situation. He told me the President had given him GH¢2,000 to come and pay my medical bills. When he came, he was indeed holding GH¢2,000.

“Mr Beautiful took part of the money from the medical bill saying he is using it to cover his transportation. So, he took his transportation fare from the GH¢2,000, and the money was no longer enough to cover the medical bills. I therefore had to personally top up the amount needed to settle the bills,” she said.

Adjoa Pee said she is not convinced that President Mahama would give Mr Beautiful money to come and pay her medical bills in Tema without providing him with separate money for transportation.

“I am not sure President John Dramani Mahama would give him money to come and pay my medical bills in Tema without giving him separate money for transportation,” she said.

The veteran actress further claimed that Mr Beautiful used his phone to record the appreciation video she made for President Mahama after her medical bills had been settled.

She explained that she had repeatedly called the actor to request the video so she could also use it for her personal purposes, but he consistently ignored her calls.
