Nana Ama McBrown shares hilarious advice on choosing a next of kin
Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has jokingly warned against revealing to someone that they have been named as your next of kin.
In a video shared on social media on September 29, 2026, McBrown shared the humorous advice with popular Ghanaian content creator Quecy Official while discussing his relationship with his younger brother.
“If I make you my next of kin, I will never inform you for you to kill me before my time. I will never let you know you’re my next of kin,” McBrown said.

McBrown suggested that Quecy should not make his younger brother too aware that he stands to inherit his possessions, but rather encourage him to work hard and build his own wealth.
Her comments were made humorously as she encouraged Quecy to allow his younger brother to become independent rather than expecting to benefit from his properties or wealth.
According to McBrown, whatever Quecy eventually leaves for his brother should be considered an added benefit to what the younger man has already built for himself.
“You’ve made him your next of kin so he knows you will soon go for him to take over. Don’t give it to him so that you will live long. Let him work for his own and when you add yours to it, it becomes a bonus,” she stated.
