Old 'Side Chick' involved in Nana Akua Addo's marital saga speaks

It seems the controversies surrounding the marriage of Ghanaian fashion icon Nana Akua Addo and her husband, Harold Duodu Norman, are not coming to an end anytime soon, as the alleged “side chick” at the centre of the issue has spoken for the first time.

It may be recalled that GhanaWeb recently reported on a series of videos that have surfaced online, in which the Ghanaian fashion icon was seen allegedly being assaulted by her husband.

In one of the videos, Nana Akua Addo was seen at a health facility with a swollen lip, blood-stained clothes, and visible injuries, which she allegedly sustained as a result of abuse by her husband.

In a separate video, the fashion icon was also seen having a heated altercation with a man believed to be her brother-in-law, in the presence of her mother-in-law, husband, and child.

In the same clip, the man was seen accusing her of infidelity and using derogatory language against her.

Following the video, which has sparked reactions online, a woman identified as Esi Boss, the alleged side chick of Harold Duodu Norman, who has also been at the centre of the feud between the couple, has hit back at her critics.

In a Snapchat post sighted by GhanaWeb on October 6, 2026, Esi Boss claimed that she walked away from the couple’s marriage two years ago and has had no involvement in any issues concerning them since then.

According to the alleged old “side chick,” individuals dragging her name into the couple’s issues should refrain from doing so, adding that some of those criticising her would not have had the courage to reject a proposal from Harold Duodu Norman if he were to propose to them.

“Judge me when your own hands are clean. I broke up with this man TWO YEARS AGO, yet some of you are still online running your mouths about a situation you know absolutely nothing about. I left him and his wife alone since then, so stop dragging my name into their business,” she wrote.

Esi Boss, while defending herself in the Snapchat post shared on October 6, also threw a jab at Nana Akua Addo, alleging that the fashion icon used to send thugs after her.

According to Esi Boss, Nana Akua Addo sent land guards to attack her and her mother, and she described the alleged behaviour of the fashion icon as “madness.”

She further cautioned Nana Akua Addo not to mistake her silence for weakness.

“I’m not disrespectful, but don’t mistake my silence for weakness. You pushed me to my limit when you went as far as calling land guards on my mother simply because you were looking for me and couldn’t find me.

“You even got people to attack me. That was beyond madness. I left you and your husband alone TWO YEARS AGO, so why are you still dragging me into your problems?” she added.
