Peacefmonline.com is reliably informed that sensational actress Baby Blanch of “Hot Fork” fame, known for acting mostly in movies produced by Socrate Sarfo of Movie Africa, has walked off the set of a new movie, and has refused to return to location to continue shooting.

A close source on the set disclosed to peacefmonline.com that Baby accidentally twisted her leg whiles shooting a scene where she was supposed to do a salsa dance and has since refused to proceed with the shooting the movie. Her reason? She believes Socrate Sarfo, producer of the movie, was not really bothered about her injury on set, but was only interested in finishing with the shooting.

According to our source the angry actress is demanding that Socrate packages an insurance policy to safeguard her life or she is not coming back on set, as she does not feel safe anymore.

Aside her accident, a source also hinted peacefmonline.com that Baby Blanch who was supposed to shave the pubic hair on her private part as part of the script, is not happy with some changes which were not part of original script.

Speaking to peacefmonline.com, Baby Blanch confirmed that she indeed twisted her left leg whiles shooting a new movie titled “What Sex Can Do” produced by Socrate Sarfo.

“Socrate gave me the script about a month before we started shooting. I went over the script several times and there was no scene where we were supposed to dance salsa but when we went on set it came up that we have to dance salsa and I accepted to do it, because there is nothing like the final script until the production is over. So even though I was not too comfortable, I decided to go along with it because the producer wanted me to,” she said.

Baby said Socrate brought in Kobby Rana to direct the movie and teach them the salsa dance steps.

“Kobby already knew the steps and he is very flexible, yet he twisted his legs a certain way and told me to do the same thing, and I twisted the joint on my leg in the process. The pain was excruciating, but Socrate felt because he had invested money in the movie, I must still dance and shoot the scene, despite the fact that i was hurt and in pain. They even refused to send me to the hospital, to seek medical help...I didn’t want to act again but Socrate was insistent and this created some misunderstanding. So I had to walk off the set,” Baby narrated.

She added that she didn’t want to engage Socrate in a war of words whereby sanctions or a ban will be placed on her so she had to leave the set and seek medical attention for her twisted leg.

Asked whether she insisted on an insurance policy before she would return on set, the actress said “I mean in everything you do, you have to be insured for any future accident. I am being paid for playing the role but I can’t work and use all my money to insure myself”.

Baby Blanch also complained about where she was supposed to shave her pubic hair as part of the movie. According to her, she agreed initially to shave the hair in her armpit and her private part and signed a contract to that effect but somewhere along the line Socrate insisted that she should also shave her hair to become bald headed.

In an interview with Socrate, he also confirmed the incident but claimed it was just a minor injury. “Something like that happened but it was a small accident. There is a scene they were supposed to dance salsa. Kobby Rana the director was teaching them a few steps and Baby Blanch accidentally slipped off and twisted her leg.

Asked whether Baby Blanch insisted on an insurance policy before she continues shooting, Socrate said he heard some members of the crew saying something like that.

“But if Baby Blanch is saying I should insure her before she can dance in a movie then I think she is over stretching the issue. What is so risky about the production, for her to demand insurance? If you, a lady are not flexible enough to twist and turn your waist and Kobby Rana who is a guy is able to turn his waist, and you Baby, twisted your leg, why should this be my problem as the producer, for you to tell me that I should insure you before you will continue the production? That doesn’t mean the producer should not insure actors and actresses because it is good to insure your cast and crew, but sometimes when we over stretch issues like this, it becomes a problem,”, Socrate explained.

Socrate also emphasized that there was no reason why this same actress should start asking for insurance now when he shot several movies with her in the past and she never asked for insurance. “When we started using her as a new actress she never asked for insurance but today she is asking for insurance because of a simple dance, and you want to put my whole production in jeopardy? No! I will not allow that to happen”.

About reports of Baby Blanch shaving her pubic hair, Socrate said it is a very important part of the movie and it has deeper meaning than what is being projected.

He explained that per the script there was some sort of transformation which necessitated “Adoley”, played by Baby Blanch, to shave every hair on the body including her pubic hair.

“Shaving is part of the scene, it is symbolic and it has deeper meaning to the story. If you don’t have any deeper understanding of things like that, you will never understand,” he said.

Asked how he intends resolving their differences in order to proceed with the shooting, Socrate said Baby Blanch was aware of what her role entails before she agreed and signed a contract so will have to complete the movie "by all means".

For now, production is on hold.

The said movie is titled “What Sex Can Do” and it features popular actress Kalsoum Sinare, vintage actor J.O.T. Agyeman, George Yaw Kyere, Baby Blanch among others. Socrate is known for his controversial movie titles such as: “God is Wicked”, “Jezeebel”, “Satan’s Wife”, “Hot Fork”, “Love and Sex”, “Rhapsody of Love” among others.
