'I am not your mate' - Mr Drew clashes with a netizen

Ghanaian musician Mr Drew has locked horns with an online user, describing him as disrespectful.

In a video clip making waves online on October 12, 2026, Mr Drew, who was displeased with how he was being addressed on an X Space, urged the online user to be mindful of his words.

According to the musician, he is ahead of the online user both financially and age-wise; hence, the latter should accord him the maximum respect he deserves.

“I am not your mate. A lot of people think I am their mate, but I am not your mate. A lot of the boys think they are my age mates. When it comes to money and age, I am not your mate, and you need to put that in your head,” he said.

Responding to Mr Drew, the netizen described the artiste as full of himself, adding that he cannot be considered an A-list artiste in the country.

“Let me talk. You are not even an A-list artiste for you to say you are not my mate. Block me,” the online user said.

Following the altercation, Mr Drew later threatened to block the said netizen on the X Space.

“I am going to block you. Look at this small foolish boy. Some of you are fools? Who do you think you are dealing with?” he added.
