Several Efiewura actors have passed away, leaving lasting memories in Ghanaian entertainment
Efiewura, which means “Landlord” or “Master of the House”, is one of Ghana’s most popular and longest-running television sitcoms.
For years, the show has entertained generations of Ghanaians, bringing laughter into many homes as families gathered around their television sets to watch their favourite characters.
The sitcom tells stories about everyday life in a typical Ghanaian compound house.

Performed mainly in Akan (Twi), with some local Pidgin English, the show uses humour, traditional proverbs and everyday conversations that many Ghanaians can easily relate to.
