Gyakie reveals she has unreleased songs with father, Nana Acheampong

Ghanaian singer Gyakie revealed that she recorded two or three songs with her father, veteran highlife musician Nana Acheampong, though the tracks have yet to be released.

Speaking in an interview on YFM on October 26, 2026, the singer said she made the recordings about two years ago and said she would pressure her father to release them to the public.

Gyakie made the revelation when asked whether fans should expect a collaboration with her father or a song in which she samples one of his records.

“Yes, we have a record. We have actually, I think it's two or three,” she said.

She added, “Yeah, I was saying a few days ago that I'm going to pressure him for us to drop the songs because we recorded them like two years ago.”
