Jack Alolome is a Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician
Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Jack Alolome has recounted what he describes as racial discrimination during a recent flight, claiming some white passengers refused to board the aircraft after seeing him.
In a video shared on social media, the musician said he was the only Black passenger preparing to board the flight when some white passengers allegedly insisted they would not board if he was allowed on the aircraft.
According to Alolome, he responded by telling them he was a popular musician from Ghana who sings for the president and had travelled abroad for a visit.
He said he also warned that if he was forced to leave the flight, he would sue the airline and use the compensation to buy a private jet.
“I told them I am a popular musician from Ghana. I sing for the president. As I am speaking to you right now, I came for a visit, so if you ask me to disembark the flight, I will sue you people and buy a private jet with the money I get out of you and return to Ghana,” he said.
Alolome further stated that he mentioned President John Dramani Mahama, saying the president knows the law and is feared by the white people.
“And you know, currently President Mahama is very terrifying. He knows the law and the whites fear him. As soon as I said President John Dramani Mahama, they asked, ‘The President?’ and I said yes. Then they said, ‘Oh,’” he recounted.
The veteran gospel musician said the white passengers eventually decided not to board the flight, leaving him to travel in what he described as an almost empty aircraft.
“They didn’t board the flight. They said they prefer I go so they don’t because they feel if they don’t let me go, I will sue them and use the money to buy a private jet. See, they didn’t board the flight… Oh, these whites, so currently I am the only person in this flight relaxing comfortably,” he said, turning his camera around to show the empty cabin.

He claims he told them he was a popular musician who also works for President Mahama and threatened to sue them, after which they decided not to let him get off the plane or board it themselves, leaving him alone on the flight.
