‘I can reply to anyone, anytime’ - Stonebwoy hits back at radio presenter over character attack

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has clapped back at a radio presenter identified as Kwabena Bobie over what he referred to as an attack on his character.

Recently, a video of the journalist surfaced online in which he was seen expressing his preference between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

According to the journalist, he prefers Shatta Wale’s character to that of Stonebwoy.

Kwabena Bobie said he would choose Shatta Wale over the BHIM President based on the former’s character.

He claimed that Shatta Wale is a go-to person who would not hesitate to insult or express his sentiments when something does not sit well with him. He added that Stonebwoy, on the other hand, tends to harbour his feelings.

Following the statement, Stonebwoy, in a post made on X on October 28, 2026, raised a series of concerns about the comments made by the journalist.

According to him, the statement made by Kwabena Bobie was uncalled for and amounted to an attack on his personality.

Stonebwoy explained that the journalist could have expressed his opinion and chosen his favourite artiste without attacking his brand and personality.

“See how this man disrespectfully describes me for no reason. This reply is evidence that I can reply to anyone, anytime and anywhere, instantly — just as I am doing now,” he said.

Stonebwoy additionally debunked claims made by the journalist that he harbours anger.

According to the musician, such claims are false, adding that he addresses issues when the need arises.

“I hold nothing in my heart. I speak when I choose to, not when others expect me to.”

While reacting to the situation, Stonebwoy added that people have every right to support their favourite artistes, but it is not right to make another artiste unpopular in the process.

“I could have rained insults on you for attacking my character, like your fav, but it is unnecessary. I chose to be wise; I have uncles your age whom I respect.

“I only replied so that people like you stop glorifying acts that degrade the moral fabric of our nation,” he added.
