Akuapem Poloo questions Nana Aba’s decision to speak publicly about regretting childbirth
Ghanaian socialite Akuapem Poloo has criticised Nana Aba Anamoah over her comments about having children, questioning the impact such statements could have on the children involved.
In a video shared on social media on October 29, 2026, Akuapem Poloo expressed concern about Nana Aba’s remarks, arguing that publicly expressing regret about having a child could negatively affect the child’s emotional well-being.
She questioned why a mother would make such comments on radio or television, especially when the child could eventually come across the statement.
“What at all are these ladies teaching the youth? What will make a mother go and sit on the radio or TV and say that if she knew what she knows now, she wouldn’t have given birth? That one child you gave birth to, how will the child feel?” she asked.
Akuapem Poloo further argued that such comments could leave a child feeling unwanted, adding that parents should consider the possible consequences before making sensitive family matters public.

“You didn’t think of all of this, but you went to say on air that you wanted to give birth to one child. Meaning you regret having the child, and if God should take the child away from you, you will be the same person to stay in your house and cry,” she said.
The actress also questioned whether such personal feelings needed to be expressed publicly, particularly when the child might eventually hear or read the comments.
“Even if you truly regret having your child, must you come and say this on social media? How will your son see you and how will he feel? He will think you don’t want him,” she stated.
Akuapem Poloo further suggested that such statements could affect the relationship between a parent and child in the future.
“If one day he doesn’t take care of you, you will say you have a child, but he doesn’t care about you,” she added.
