A video showing a traditional priestess dancing to a hit song by Medikal and Shatta Wale has gone viral, leaving some guests surprised.

The clip, shared on X by Ask Ghana Media, shows the priestess rising from her seat at the Sacred Crown Awards 2026, held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on Saturday, October 31, to dance to ‘Shoulder’ by Medikal, featuring Shatta Wale.

Dressed in white, with a matching headwrap and layers of white beads, she is seen holding a yellow cloth and a gourd rattle as she moves to the song, while other guests, also dressed mostly in white, look on.

The Sacred Crown Awards 2026 is a maiden awards scheme held under the royal patronage of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council.

The event celebrates African excellence, heritage, spirituality and wellness. It recognises individuals and institutions, including healers, cultural custodians, spiritual leaders, musicians, humanitarians and traditional rulers.

‘Shoulder’, released in mid-2025, features Medikal, Shatta Wale and producer Beatztrap KOTM. The song is built around Medikal’s ‘Alla’ catchphrase and became one of the popular songs of the 2025 summer, with its accompanying dance moves gaining traction on social media.
