DJ Slim (L) has taken a swipe at fashion critic FireStick (R)
Ghanaian media personality DJ Slim has expressed his frustration following a recent statement made by fashion critic FireStick.
Recently, FireStick, during a conversation on Pluzz FM shared on X on November 3, 2026, stated that he wished the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, were the Ga Mantse, while the Ga Mantse replaced him as the Asantehene.
According to him, the Ga Mantse is “civilised” and deserves to rule the Asante Kingdom, adding that people from the Ashanti Region are business-minded and would go to any length to secure wealth.

“I wish Otumfuo were like the Ga Mantse because he is too civilised to be from that side. I would like you to be like him. I wish Otumfuo were the king of Greater Accra because his people have this drive in everything they do.
“Even if they don’t have the talent, they will ensure they do it,” FireStick noted.
Following his statement, DJ Slim, during a show on Class FM, noted that FireStick’s comment was uncalled for.
According to him, the statement made by the fashion critic was an attempt to incite one tribe against another.

“How dare you sit on the radio and incite a whole tribe against others? Where are the ethics in journalism? I don’t blame him because now there are a lot of radio and TV stations in the system, so a fool like you has a chance to sit on the radio,” DJ Slim noted.
He additionally noted that this was not the first time FireStick had been seen making offensive comments against a tribe in the country.
“In trying to sub the Ashantis, he subbed his own people. There have been several times he has insulted his own people. I saw that idiot on that platform called Pluzz FM, and that is where he went to sit and make such stupid talk,” he added.
