LilWin is a Ghanaian Kumawood actor
Ghanaian Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has shared a terrifying mid-air incident involving a flight from Accra to Kumasi, describing the experience as frightening.
In an interview on Lawson TV on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, LilWin, who confirmed that he was among the passengers on board, said the incident occurred shortly after the aircraft took off amid heavy rainfall.
Recounting the experience, the actor explained that he was travelling to Kumasi for his movie premiere and had not anticipated such an incident, as it was his first time experiencing severe turbulence during a flight.

According to LilWin, the aircraft's movement and the sudden drop in altitude left him terrified.
“We went on board, and just when the flight was about to take off, the rain started. I thought they were going to make us wait for some time before taking off. But you know, sometimes it rains in Accra, and it isn't raining in Kumasi.
“So the plane took off, and the intensity of the rain increased. The pilot used speed to take off, but because the rain was heavy, he struggled. Just when he got up, the plane came down so fast,” he said.
LilWin additionally disclosed that he had been advised by Pastor Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah to cancel his trip before boarding the aircraft.
“He told me not to go to Kumasi, but because it was an emergency and it was about my movie premiere and some meetings I had to attend, he eventually asked me to go. If not for the prayers of Adom Kyei, Ghana would not have heard good news today,” he stated.
The Kumawood actor further revealed that Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene was also on the exact flight and is still shaken by the experience.
According to LilWin, the minister even informed him about an upcoming trip to China but is now hesitant to embark on the journey following the incident.
“The Regional Minister made me aware that he has to go to China, but because of what occurred, he is even afraid of going to China,” he said.

LilWin also advised PassionAir not to give in to pressure from passengers when making decisions about flight departures, particularly during unfavourable weather conditions.
He noted that passengers who complain about flight delays may be the same people who blame the airline if an incident occurs after a decision is made to take off under difficult conditions.
“We will beg the airlines not to listen to the complaints of their customers and make hasty decisions, especially concerning when a plane should take off. The same people who would complain about lateness will be the same people who will blame them if something happens,” he added.
