There was hilarious laughter from both the bench and the Bar at the crowded circuit tribunal when a 13-year old pupil (name withheld) who was defiled by a 26-year old pupil teacher, told the three-member panel that after the accused had had sex with her he revealed that he land wanted to love to her senior sister and doled money to her but later learnt she was married.
She made this thrown when she was given her evidence-in chief in a case in which Rowland Kow Tsini pupil teacher has pleaded not guilty to defilement and granted 20 million cedis bail with 2 guaranties to be justified.
The accused will reappear on Feb. 16.
The victim told the panel chaired by Roger C. Azumah that at about 8.30 p.m. on October last year she attended an area dance at a school park at Ashaiman and when the electricity want off she accompanied a friend who was selling Kyikum to her house because they were neighbours.
According to the victim she was with here friend at home when the accused who also stays in the vicinity came to buy ?500 with of the Kyikum.
He gave her friend 2,000 cedis and because she had not have the change she want out of the house to look for change.
The tribunal learnt from the victim that it was in the absence of her friend that the accused proposed love to her and requested her to take some of the Kyikum.
The accused allegedly told her victim that when her friend brings the change of ?1,500 she should take it but she declined both offers.
According to the victim when she left her friend's house to her home the accused that lives behind her house followed her until she branded and knocked at her gate.
She stated that while waiting for her gate to be opened, the accused came back and invited her to his house with the pretext of sending her to buy small thing for him.
"Two followed him to his room and he sat me on his bed and stood besides me and began to ask me some questions which I replied but suddenly he pushed are on to the bed ad lied on me."
She stated that when she made an attempt to scream for help the accused closed her mouth with one hand while he used the other hand to undress her and had sex with her.
The accused refused to allow her to go home until 4 am after he had had another ex with her, after which he warned her not to inform anybody otherwise he the accused will do her something.
She stated that she could not inform her parents but confided in her friend who in turn informed the parents who reported the matter to the police and accused was arrested.
