Ruby Kyeme is the lady at the moment. Because she’s new, her name does not ring but trust me at the release of the debut she co-produced, her product will be threat to others. Ruby is a Film Maker/Producer and her debut “Be My Guest” will be premiered on the 10th February, 2012.
Ruby is a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology but she never had the passion for science. Since childhood, she’d always put up concepts to project certain values therefore she prefers to use her brain in that aspect as compared to Science with calculating all the time. Her parents wish was for her to be a doctor but no! “My parents are very liberal people” she added.
Aside Film Making, the vibrant is a Marketing Manager for a Micro-finance company. Also, she’s the Group Corporate Affairs and Brands Manager for Weston Group of Company. She believes the marketing prowess is a God giving gift and should not be wasted. “Will go back to Biological Science after five years” she smiles.
Ruby sees the world as a competitive one therefore, having done her homework correctly, she sees Wide Angle perching above the rest. “Ghanaians are fed up with the same old faces. With our next project, we are looking at introducing new faces” she reveals.
Irrespective of the gender, Shirley and Leila are the Best Film Makers in Ghana at the moment and very soon Ruby and Wide Angle will be counted among the Best two. Based in the industry, the target segment of Wide Angle will vary so our kids are assured of an animation in some months or years to come.
