In the history of Ghana’s entertainment industry, no musician has launched a single album with 25 tracks; but this morning, Friday June 1st 2012, rap artiste and sound engineer E.L. of ‘Obuumo Ona’ fame would launch his ‘SOMETHING ELSE’ album which has 26 tracks plus some bonus ones.

Interestingly, that is E.L.’s debut album; and even before the release, the tall musician has signed a contract with 400 digital stores including iTunes.

E.L. is under the management of BBnZ Live and a source from the company has told NEWS-ONE that the Ghana version of the ‘SOMETHING ELSE’ album is a special edition and it includes tracks that the other versions do not have.

The artiste has already put out a promo video which features seasoned actor Psalm Adjeteyfio of ‘Taxi Driver’ fame.

The said video was directed by international movie director Pascal Aka.

However Ghanaians who want to buy unit copies of the album may have to wait for two weeks because they are currently being produced in far away Germany and would not arrive in Ghana until after 14 days.

On why BBnZ Live would sign a contract with a Germany-based recording studio when the same work could have been done in Ghana, the company officials said they have focused on an international target audience and therefore decided to give the contract to a reputable international studio because that is a guarantee that the final work would meet international standards.

Exactly three weeks after the launch, E.L. would leave Ghana on June 26th for a lineup of concerts that would see him hopping from London to New York, then back to Ghana before flying back to Amsterdam.

E.L., born Elorm Adablah, is an enterprising young music icon who has appeared on many musical concerts held in the country and performed with music stars like Sarkodie, J. Martins, 9ice, Fabulous and Rick Ross.

He discovered his talent early in life and later developed his singing skills with a group called Skillions during his secondary school days at PRESEC, Legon. He has been working hard behind the scenes in Ghana, sharpening his voice and composition skills and working on collaborations.

His performances with some well-known artistes have revived his music dream.**
