It’s official that two of Africa’s finest musicians, Afriyie (of Wutah fame) and the sexy Becca have a new baby, a brand new song titled Take it easy.
Take it easy is a reggae song that precedes the release of four other singles from Afriyie’s self- titled LP.
Afriyie has disclosed to Kojo Akoto Boateng on Ultimate Radio 106.9 MHz, that “the song is ready. I’m just waiting to drop it at the right time. It's part of 5 songs I'll be releasing this year.”
Until he began his solo career, Afriyie was a member of the award winning Wutah duo.
Their exploits in the African music industry won them several awards. In Ghana, they were the toast of the masses and won countless Ghana Music Awards together.
Afriyie on his part was awarded best male vocalist at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards.
He told Kojo that, “I know my fans have been very hungry for more after the success of Love of my Life. That is why I teamed up with the gracious Becca to record this particular song.
“Take it easy is for all those who are in love and have doubts. Relationships, especially marriage, come with a lot of uncertainties but one thing that we should all hold certain is that love conquers all. So I made this song to assure all lovers that true love weathers all storms and when challenges creep up, we all just gotta take it easy”, he explained.
Take it easy will be released on a soon to be announced date.
