Two promising gentlemen, Paa Kwasi and Kofi Supreme, were brought onto the MTN Hitmaker show two weeks ago to prove their craft to the world in a segment dubbed the ‘Wild Card’.

The ‘Wild Card’ segment is one of many additions to this year’s competition and it seeks to bring two of the best performers who were not originally selected after auditions but impressed the judges.

After a week of performance in which they were excluded from eviction, Kofi Supreme and Paa Kwasi could not last the distance and were evicted from the show on Sunday.

They had come up for eviction together with the only surviving lady in the competition, Nana Adobea and the judges saved her. Koo Ntakara had some vociferous fans to cheer him on in the studio as his well choreographed dance was enjoyed by alll thereby earning him the best performer on the night.

Several people thought Cano Z put in an arresting performance and deserved to be the best performer for the third time running. That was not to be as Koo Ntakara walked away with the prize.

Other prize winners from the show were Priznerz for being the best dressed and producer-engineer Ephraim for best production. The MTN Hitmaker is coming to an end and the tension is building up as to which four contestants will be in the finale slated for October 25 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The six acts still in contention for the ultimate award of GH¢100,000 and a first runners-up spot worth GH¢50,000 are K Bee, Koo Ntakara, Kofi Korea, Cano-Z, Adobea and Priznerz.

The MTN Hit-Maker airs on GTV, Metro TV, Multi TV and UTV on Sundays at 8.30pm. It also airs on eTV and Cyrstal TV on Saturdays at 8.00pm and on GH One at 7.00pm on Saturdays.
