Sultry Ghanaian actress Cecilia Gyase Konamah has obviously matured in the trade so much that many producers and directors in the industry are engaging her services.

In an exclusive interview with MustaphaInusah.Com she stated, “It all started at Kings College International School where Nana Ama McBrown used to have a drama group which I joined in 2006. It really helped me a lot but had my first major role in movies when I joined Pat Thomas’ drama group.” She outlined.

The former Mpraeso Senior High student had since featured in a number of movies including “Sika Mpe Ahantan”, “War of Roses”, Me nko Mebusua”, “Me Gye Meba”, “Tonga”, “Teacher Kojo," “Ring” amongst others.

Cecilia shocked her numerous fans when she shaved off every little hair on her head to star in a yet to be released movie. “It wasn’t an easy risk to take at all considering the number of years I have had my natural hair on and to have it all shaved off to play a very significant role was challenging. Regardless, it was worth it because the message in the role I played in this movie was very intense." She added.

Having acted alongside Jackie Appiah, John Dumelo, Prince David Osei, Agya Koo and others, Cece says the sky is just her springboard as she looks forward to make a serious impact in the coming years. “I believe our industry is getting bigger and better by the day and I will not side with those who say our industry is dying. We need a little assistance from the government all will be fine.”

The 25-year-old actress has also starred in TV commercials such as Angel Mixture, Brukutu Ginger, Beauty Sanitary Pad and many others. “I thank all who in diverse ways have helped me come this far especially Mr. Bediako, Mr. Amoabeng (Batman), Pat Thomas and all directors and producers in Ghana."
