Big Events Ghana, last Friday August 22, 2014 launched the 2014 edition of the Radio and Television Personality Awards.
According to the C.E.O. of Big Events Ghana, Prince Mackay concerning how different this year's edition will be, he said, “the awards has always been different, this year for instance what we have introduced is the Radio and Television Personality Hall of Fame which recognizes people who have worked as long as 35 years and more. Those people have nothing to show for the work that they have done for mother Ghana.”
"Those people will be captured by this area by selecting three of these veterans in the industry. The entire process for the event is going to be in the hands of different production company that is handling the whole production and organizers are concentrating on the processes and the advert and see how far we can go,” he told Flex Newspaper.
Prince Mackay added that he noted some few lapses and for that matter has changed the team he is working with in this year`s edition of the awards.
He launched nominations of 21 categories out of the forty categories which included: TV Male Newscaster of the Year, TV Female Newscaster of the Year, TV Morning Show Host, TV Sports Host, TV Current Affairs Show Host, TV Development Show Host, TV Female Presenter, TV Male Entertainment Host, TV Female Entertainment Host, TV Program of the Year, TV Entertainment Show, TV Sports Program, TV News Program, TV Reality, TV Local Series and TV Morning Show.
The Radio Television Personality topmost awards category includes RTP Personality of the Year, Radio Female Presenter of the Year, Radio Talk show Host of the Year, Radio Newscaster of the Year, Radio Sports Program of the Year.
According to him, at the end of the week everything needed to make this program a better one will be out for patrons to get all the necessary information.
