After publicly endorsing an anti-cardiac arrest campaign by DJ Iyce and her Under 1 Entertainment LTD, celebrities Bisa Kdei, Christabel Ekah, Kafui Danku and a host of others failed to show up at the campaign’s launching ceremony on Saturday at the British Council in Accra.

Organisers of the campaign intended to use the launch on Saturday as a platform to get the celebrities to explain their involvement in the campaign while they also encourage the general public on healthy living.

However, just a handful of them showed up. Out of about ten (10) celebs who publicly endorsed the campaign, just two of them, Reggie Rockstone and dancehall artiste Episode, attended the ceremony.

Reggie didn’t stay long at the event as he left a few minutes after his speech because he had to attend a family member’s marriage ceremony.

According to information gathered at the event, some of the celebrities kept promising they were on their way to the event while others won’t even pick their calls at all.

As of the time NEWS-ONE was leaving the auditorium, Episode was the only industry person around.

The cardiac campaign, which is dubbed ‘Heart Attack Campaign’, is aimed at educating and creating awareness about heart attack.

According to organisers, there will be a concert which will feature musicians such as Kwabena Kwabena, Bisa Kdei and Reggie Rockstone, among others, to heighten the awareness.

The other celebrities who endorsed the campaign but didn’t show up at the launch included MzVee, Keche, Adjetey Anang, Dede Ayew, Sulley Muntari and a host of others.
