Fennec's Case: We are logistically constrained - Homicide Boss

The head of the Homicide Unit of the police service DSP William Seduamey has indicated that necessary equipments/ gadgets needed to conduct in-depth investigation to unravel circumstances leading to the death of showbiz personality Fennec Okyere are lacking.

Mr. Seduamey stated "we have written to the outfit (department/unit) in charge of providing us with the necessary investigation equipments but we are yet to receive any."

As to why there cannot be any assurances given to the public, he said, "we cannot give them assurances when there is no new update, unlike in movies (Inspector Bediako) where investigations are quickly concluded.

"But, we are going on with investigations with the little resources at our disposal to lay hands on the killer/s of the deceased," he added.

The homicide boss made this revelation during a meeting with this reporter to clarify some questions posed in the article; 'Opinion: Late Fennec Okyere's investigation laid to rest; no other suspect found?' at the CID Headquarters.

Meanwhile, DSP Seduamey has affirmed that the promised cash reward of GHC 20,000.00 to be given to the individual or persons who volunteer credible information leading to the killer or killers of late Fennec Okyere still holds.

The cash reward offer was announced in an official Statement released by the Ghana Police Administration on Friday, April 25, 2014; a day before the burial of the deceased.

The Police Statement was signed by the Commissioner of the Criminal Investigation Department, P.K. Agblor at the Police Headquarters.

Meanwhile Bulldog, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson remains the prime suspect as the killer of the deceased.

Fennec Okyere, on March 13, 2014 was found brutally murdered at his resident, Manet Gardens off the Spintex Road.
