Musician Mzbel who has been in the news lately for an interview she granted Ghanagist tv has been given an undisclosed amount of money by the Volta River Authority (VRA).

According to a post by the artiste on her Instagram page, the money was part of the organisation’s role in helping her embark on her Help Stop Dumsor Project.

About seven months ago, Mzbel released a song produced by Fimfim titled Dumsor and since then, she has made it a point to educate people on the need to reserve energy and their role in curbing Ghana’s power crisis.

Ghana has been experiencing erratic power supply since 2012 and the government hasn’t been able to find a solution to it. There have been many promises, but none has seen the light of day.

The Volta River Authority (VRA), is an electric power utility corporation established in 196. The primary functions include the generation of electric power.

Her post on Instagram read;

Just received a cheque from VRA to support my #SayNoToIllegaConnection #StopIllegalConnection #HelpStopDumsor Project... had so much fun collecting the cheque. ECG also gave me a cheque and everything I need to make my project a huge Success! Now who says silence is the best way to fight for your reputation?! Hashem God of Israel I bow to You...#Mzbel #MzbelMusic #BeLAndTheCity #TeamHashem #GodOfIsreal #HelpStopDumsor #StopIllegalConnection #SayNoToIllegaConnection #KeepGhanaClean #ShikoMe #MzbelBaybeeee????
