Ever wondered about the great chemistry between Nana Yaa Thomas, daughter of highlife legend Pat Thomas and Kojo Antwi, during their live performances and recording sessions?
According to Nana Yaa, it’s because Antwi is ‘fun to work with’, she told Kofi Okyere Darko on 360Live on Live FM over the weekend.
“He is a great musician, but he is also a deep person. He is fun to work with. He is extremely funny, and he is hilarious. His songwriting skills, I think I learn a lot from that as well. He is amazing to work with.”
The two have been working together since 1998, after an introduction by Yaa’s late manager.
“His writing skills. The man is just amazing. And I always talk about his writing skills because the Twi word in itself is a bit of a tricky language, and Kojo uses it so well. He is an amazing songwriter, and I take lessons from him,” she adds.
Nana Yaa is working on a new musical project that she says will likely feature appearances by her dad, 2FaceIdibia, E.L, Irene Logan, Kojo Antwi, Wizkid and Brymo.
