Painting just like music connects directly to the soul. One can express how he or she Feels through painting.

Almost every home, office, community and nation has a painting or two that tells it's story and believes.

Street painting and graffiti although not popular in Africa it is loved and appreciated by many, hence a group young men have taken it up on themselves to popularize the art by organizing the Independence Day graffiti, a two day art festival held on the March 6 to 7 in a bid to build the art industry and also sell the rich cultural heritage of Ghana to the world world.

The event attracted a lot people who are new to this form of art and others also took pictures with the beautiful graffitis telling the history behind the independence of Ghana.

Osu Oxford street was bathe with colourful paintings as it hosted the Independence Day graffiti. The festival was Climaxed with an exhibition and was also graced by renowned graffiti artists in Ghana.
