Lucky Mensah pleads for the promotion of High-life music

Lucky Mensah is one of the country’s prolific highlife musician who announced his presence in the industry in 1993 with his maiden album.

The highlife star who is known for hit songs Old school, Adu sumo kwadu, Nkratuo, Aboogi among others having eleven albums to his credit is set to release his 12th studio recording album.

The Nkratuo hit track is a controversial song which was tagged to the behavior of former Late President Prof.John Evans Atta Mills.

Asked why he has not been consistent as compared to previously, the musician opined that the current crop of Dj’s and Presenters’ focus is on the new trend which he termed as disposable songs.

He said it will be good for the presenters and Dj’s to assist in promoting the highlife music which is our original song in order not to lose our heritage.

Speaking to Worshipper in an interview on the work and happiness show on A1 Radio, the highlife singer encouraged the upcoming musicians to emphasize on our indigenous music which is the highlife.
