Seasoned Ghanaian Gospel duo Tagoe Sisters have rubbished reports suggesting they’re accusing fellow acts Daughters of Glorious Jesus of intellectual property theft.
In an interview with Livefmghana.com, the celebrated twins debunked the rumours, adding they have been misquoted.
Reports last week suggested the two were claiming ownership of the very popular “Enne Manya Anigye” song, which is credited to Daughters of Glorious Jesus.
Explaining further how they were misquoted, the duo said they were asked a specific question of why most gospel musicians of today lacked content to which they answered that the situation was due to lack of the appreciation of good song writers.
They cited how most of the gospel songs of old were written by good song writers and gave an example of the song in question.
“We travelled back into Ghana and realized the song, which was originally written by Advent Herald, and which we were to use, had been used by Daughters of Glorious Jesus.
“We didn’t raise any red flags because it was all for the good of the work of God.
“This was the same thing we said, only to be misquoted.”
