Walking is simple, free and of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and healthier.

It's underrated as a form of exercise, but walking is ideally for people of all ages and fitness level to be more active.

Drive Time host on Joy FM, Kwame Sakyiamah, known in the industry as Lexis Bills, recently launched his Health walk called "Walk with Lexis".

Early today morning around 5 am, over hundreds of people joined Lexis Bills to climb the Aburi Mountain in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The walk took off from Ayi Mensah in the Greater Accra Region.

After the walk, they gathered in front of the Peduase Lodge, and some of participants actively jogged, amidst jama and good music, and took part in aerobic sessions.

The health walk was graced with some renowned personnel’s like; Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Actor Ekow Smith-Asante, Nathaniel Atto, Dr. Pounds, CEO of Toyota Ghana, and other multimedia workers.

It was the first maiden edition and was powered by Joy FM and sponsored by Toyota Ghana, Awake mineral water, Puma and Graphic Sports.

Lexis Bills said,

"The walk was born out of his passion for fitness". He again said,

"Over the years I have seen the benefit of working out I thought I shouldn't keep it to myself. So let’s step out there and get a lot more people live a healthy life".

Though it was full of fun, interactive and educative, I hope more to come.
