Boss of Slip Music, Mark Okraku-Mantey has questioned why Kofi Kinaata brought half-naked women to dance while he was performing “Susuka” at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016.

Okraku-Mantey making a submission on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on Monday said the dance moves did not in any way have a correlation with the content of the song.

“I don’t know why Kinaata decided to perform a song which won him Songwriter of the Year with women who are half-naked to come and dance mapuka. It nullifies the strength of the song. He won because of the lyrical content. The content is about how we should be content with what God has done for us,” he told host, KMJ.

According to Okraku-Mantey, Kofi Kinaata’s act, painted a picture that “he does not know what he is selling.”

Kinaata’s “Susuka” beat competition from Rex Omar’s Paapa, Knii Lante’s Beautiful Virgo, Obrafour’s Nkontompo, Stonebwoy’s Go Higher and MzVee, Richie, Efya’s Abofra.

He was also adjudged Best New Artiste of the Year.
