Student dies after being knocked down by vehicle

Dormaa-Ahenkro, (B/A) Oct. 3, GNA- Enoch Kankam, 22, a student from Goaso in the Asunafo District died on Monday at the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital after he had been knocked down by a Benz Bus at Dormaa-Ahenkro. The vehicle was heading towards Berekum from Sefwi Akaatiso in the Western Region when the incident occurred at a place opposite the circuit Court at Dormaa-Ahenkro.

Dormaa-Ahenkro, (B/A) Oct. 3, GNA- Enoch Kankam, 22, a student from Goaso in the Asunafo District died on Monday at the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital after he had been knocked down by a Benz Bus at Dormaa-Ahenkro. The vehicle was heading towards Berekum from Sefwi Akaatiso in the Western Region when the incident occurred at a place opposite the circuit Court at Dormaa-Ahenkro. Mr C.S.M. Brew (Junior), Dormaa District Police Commander told the Ghana News Agency (GNA), that the deceased came to Dormaa-Ahenkro to visit his step-father, Mr Abraham Mensah an Assistant Registrar of Court. He said after the deceased was crossing a street when the incident happened. He became unconscious and was rushed to the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Police Commander said the body has been deposited at Hwidiem Hospital for autopsy.
