Shatta Wale
The King of African Dancehall and currently the biggest and most sought after Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale, will in the coming days roll out a peace advocacy campaign as part of his social intervention programs for the year.
This was revealed in an exclusive interview on Saturday 11th June 2016, with the Public Relations Manager of Shatta Movement and the spokesperson of the celebrated Dancehall King, Chris Koney.
“As you are very aware, we will be having the general elections in November and Shatta Wale, the King of African Dancehall will soon roll out a peace advocacy campaign which seeks to promote peace and stability in the country before, during and after the election. It is very important to ensure that we go through this election peacefully and he as an icon with a huge following will play his part in preaching peace to everyone. There will be more details once the campaign it is officially launched“, he said
The multiple award winner was in the news a few weeks ago after he announced on social media the commencement of his activities as part of his corporate social responsibility initiative budded as “Shatta Supports”.
According to Chris Koney, “Shatta Supports” as the corporate social responsibility initiative of Shatta Wale is to develop the socio-human capital of Ghana by improving the quality of people’s lives through appropriate and sustainable social interventions in identified areas.
“As a unit, it aims at having a broad community impact as well as supporting national and international development priorities”, he added.
