Top Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel, is arguably one of the most talented actors in Africa. From his good boy roles to his bad boy roles in movies, Michel is always an entertaining character to watch on screen. The movie star recently bemoaned the dearth of the good of acting in Nollywood.

He attributed the ugly trend to the current focus of film makers on equipment than talent. The actor revealed this at a movie release party held last week in Lagos.

While speaking about his experience featuring in Nollywood movies, the movie star bemoaned the fact that the Nigerian movie industry is fast losing its art due to its focus on equipment.

“What I really don’t like that’s happening in the industry is that they are putting more focus on equipment, lighting and cameras than the act of acting itself. So, they are losing their art and focusing on putting more passion on the technical part.

Therefore, true acting is fading away in Nollywood,” he lamented. The award-winning actor has starred in a lot of Nollywood movies including Being Mrs Elliot, Knocking on Heaven’s Door, Bursting Out, Forgetting June, 30 Days in Atlanta,The Department, among others.
