Papa Kumasi
TV show host and Actor, Clement Sarfo known on screen as Papa Kumasi has advised that as much as producers may have a good cast for a movie, failure to enhance it with good story line will leave the final product a failed project.
According to him some of the producers believe in good cast but their story lines are not up to standard.
Papa Kumasi, who was speaking in an interview with Demajesty Kamil Umar of SeanCitygh.com, said producers put little into the technical aspect of movie productions thus the low quality of movies being produced.
He said the story line plays a crucial role in the total outcome of the movie and if not taken seriously, a finished movie may just not be up to standard.
’’If you have a good story with few cast the end product will still sell’’ he added
“if you sit in a cinema or you sit at home and you are watching a movie with good cast and the story line line is bad, you will lose interest ... if the cast is really good and all these other aspects are not good enough, you could actually stop the movie half-way,” Papa Kumasi explained.
But the Royal TV Presenter was quick to add that the situation is however changing because, “Other production houses are beginning to recognize that they need to pay more attention to the storylines of the movies they produce’’.
For producers to produce good quality movies and get there internationally, Papa Kumasi advised that they should invest in the right stories and also employ the right casts for their productions.
