Chief Executive Officer of Event Republic, Mel Kwesi Davis has said that fans of Gloria Sarfo should have unfollowed her on various social media platforms after the actress lashed out someone on Facebook.
Abrantepa.com earlier published that Gloria Sarfo fired back at one Emma Skillo for describing her look as a “bag stuffed with clothes”.
Her reaction, according to Mel Kwesi Davis was unwarranted since he believes a celebrity should know how to interact with the fans.
“If you make such a statement on your social media platforms, everybody should unfollow you. Everybody should decline their friendship. No matter what a fan does, [it should not warrant any insult]” he said on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, Saturday.
Mel further noted that it is advisable for celebrities to employ people to handle their social media as that will help safeguard their brands/image from posts that are likely to affect them adversely.
“Because you know you’ve become a star and now people will come after you with all sorts of garbage, what you do is to hire a social media manager. But if you want to do it yourself, then you should be ready to have the patience and stomach to swallow some of these things,” he noted.
“We are telling the fans that, anybody who will behave like that is not worth their time and attention. These people use their data to support everything you do, you’ve become a star and have the guts to call them stupid?” the artiste manager added.
Meanwhile, fans of Gloria Sarfo and Emma Skillo have been trading insults after the publication by Abrantepa.com went viral.
